Ups and Downs

On the upside, Toby got through his piano exam this morning, after having been terribly nervous, Joss was given a full sweep of excellent reports at parent/teacher interviews and Bethany loved her second art class.

I'm not sure what it's called, but it is very cute.

It was hard work keeping it all together on the walk home, that's for sure.

The relief on Toby's face when he came down the stairs after his exam was classic. We were told that the examiner is very tough and Toby was worried he wouldn't be friendly. He may not give out any As, Toby has been warned not to expect one, but he was very friendly so Toby's nerves disappeared and he is pleased with how he played. We won't find out his mark until next week. He relaxed this evening with his DS, in front of the olympics.

The downside is that Bethany didn't feel well today and looks like having to stay home tomorrow. I'm torn between being pleased that I don't have to take a day off work and most put out that my day off will be interrupted! I had better be able to go to the airport to farewell Maame!
