I have just completed week five of Get Running and I did my first unbroken run. Five weeks ago I ran for 20 seconds and nearly died, this morning I ran for 20 minutes solid! I'm not saying I loved every minute, I didn't go terribly fast or far, but I persevered and am rather pleased with myself!
I call the lovely, English girl who encourages me and tells me what to do, Lucy. At the end of the 20 minutes she told me that I can now call myself a runner. I'm not sure about that, I am yet to experience the mythical 'runner's high' but I do feel good, so I am going to keep running. If I can do this, almost anyone can......
Well done! Should I try? I borrowed a bike to see if I would like that, but have only ridden it twice! I suppose motivation is the most important aspect of getting more exercise!
