Mobile Library

I have had quite the week, so far. On Monday we went out to Walla Walla, a small town close to Albury, to launch the new mobile library truck for that Local Government Area. On Tuesday I went, nice and early, to the shed where the mobile library sleeps. Sonya, Cynthia and I then spent a good part of our day filming the mobile library operator for an ABC Open project, A Day in the Life.

We wished we could have moved that sign....
The first stop on Tuesday was at Lockhart, which is a lovely, quirky town. I took a fancy to these tea cups.

We got sandwiches in this old café, which is in the process (there's a long way to go) of being renovated. We spent rather more time in the sun, setting up and then getting the shots we wanted, and now I have an ugly red collar of sunburn. I haven't been properly sunburnt in years and I really don't like it.

Then, yesterday, I went to Sydney for a Reader's Advisory seminar at the State Library. Jess and I gave a quick presentation on Club Celluloid, then I did another one on Pinterest for Reader's Advisory. Jess and Kate were up there already, having attended an HSC forum the day before, so it was great to spend the day with them. We had coffee at the Lindt café twice!
